# Email Activity

## What this tells you

A background description of how engaged this user is with their inbox and how much they are sending. Useful for interpreting other risk signals in context — for example, a high external_communication_risk score is more meaningful when sent volume is also elevated.

## What this can't tell you

- Does not indicate whether low read rate is a problem — many users intentionally archive without reading.
- Does not capture whether sent emails reached their intended recipients.
- Does not distinguish between internal and external sent emails (see `sent_external_risk` for that).

## How we describe it

Shows how actively this user engages with their inbox and how much email they send — background context for interpreting other signals, not a risk level in itself.
